It’s always a pleasure to do projects for people that are fun, intelligent and easy to collaborate with. These special clients are at the top of the list in all those categories.
We had a lot of fun utilizing existing materials on the project, such as the floors and the fireplaces. We were even able to keep existing window and wall locations in order to make the budget go a lot further on things that were important to them, such as high end appliances and a crafty indoor-outdoor space.
Because our clients have a large family and love to entertain in a big way, including ample seating and multiple vignettes for hanging out in our design was tantamount.
It’s easy to see that conversations and wine tasting will be effortless at one of their three new custom island/peninsula seating locations.
Things are well rounded off with their new built-in banquette for their more quaint day to day activities.
Project Highlights
- Custom walk in pantry where there was not one before
- Increased Kitchen functionality by eliminating an unneeded doorway leading to the Dining Room
- Removed an ill-located built in BBQ and created a new indoor/outdoor experience by implementing simple window and door features and a much better laid out and placed outdoor bar and BBQ area -complete with outdoor TV
- Created an oversized island perfect for large family gatherings and entertaining, but huge functionality for day to day cooking

This house had an open floorplan concept- In order to integrate the living room with the kitchen, we continued the wood tones on the mantle and shelving and refinished the red brick to more of a white wash

We updated this game room fireplace by painting the existing mantle and replacing the dated tile with a fun ceramic pattern
We implemented simple window and door features and created a better bar and BBQ layout

We did a full gut on this powder room- new vanity, mirror and lighting. We added wallpaper to the back wall only to keep cost down but add a pop of texture.

We used these globe sconces from visual comfort to bring in the matte black finishes from the adjacent kitchen, and combine it with the warm brass and neutrals of the powder room
